RESOLUTION NO. 2002-057
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL SYSTEMS
PEONY LANE AT SCHMIDT LAKE ROAD,
CITY PROJECT NO. 1028
AND
VICKSBURG LANE AT OLD ROCKFORD ROAD,
CITY PROJECT NO. 1040
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted by the Council on January 8, 2002 the City
Council approved the 2001-2006 Capital Improvements Program (CIP), showing plans for
the expenditures of public fiinds to constrict public improvement projects; and
WHEREAS, as part of the 2001-2006 CIP, the installation of a permanent traffic signal
system at Peony Lane at Schmidt Lake Road and a temporary signal system at Vicksburg
Lane at Old Rockford Road was included in the 2001 Street Projects; and
WHEREAS, the City's Consulting Engineer, SRF Consulting Group, Inc., has prepared
plans and specifications for the improvement of the intersections of Peony Lane at
Schmidt Lake Road and Vicksburg Lane at Old Rockford Road by the installation of a
traffic control signal system and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council
for approval; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City
Engineer's Office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper
and in The Constriction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for the making
of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the work to be done,
shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on
March 15, 2002 at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council
Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth
Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids
will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and

accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check
payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
3. Funding in the amount of $346,430 will be from the MSA (402) Fund.
