RESOLUTION NO. 2002-056
APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE PERSONNEL POLICY
WHEREAS, City staff periodically reviews Personnel Policy and recommends changes
to update the policy to reflect changes in the policies and practices of others; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the sexual harassment policy be
updated to include a prohibition of all harassment included in state and federal law; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has further recommended that the policy be further
amended to include a prohibition of violence in the workplace; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has further recommended the policy include a new
section prohibiting the possession and use of weapons, and
WHEREAS, other minor clerical and ordering changes are required;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Plymouth, Minnesota, that it should and hereby does approve amendments to the
Personnel Policy in Article 4 thereof, providing for the changes reflected in the attached
revised Article 4 and any clerical or ordering changes necessary for publication,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above amendment will be effective upon
adoption.
