HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2002-053CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2002-053 APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR REZONING OF THE ELMH[_]RST AND ELMH[_]RST GATEWAY NEIGHBORHOODS, LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF MEDICINE LAKE (2001146) WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has initialted reclassification of the zoning from RSF-2 (Single Familt Detached 2) to RSF-3 (Single Family Detached 3) for the residential lots in the Elmhurst and Elmhurst Gateway neighborhoods, and from RSF-I (Single Family Detached 1) and RSF-2 (Single Family Detached 2) to P -I (Public/institutional) for the park -related properties in the Elmhurst and Elmhurst Gateway neighborhoods; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing and recommends approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected parcels. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request for the above -stated reclassification, based upon the following findings: 1. The proposed zoning classifications are consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. 2. The proposed zoning classifications are consistent with the established development patterns and land uses. 3. Adequate infrastructure exists to support the requested rezoning for these neighborhoods. ADOPTED by the City Council on January 22, 2002.
