AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL SEEKING
BUILDERS AND CONTRACTORS INTERESTED IN ACQUIRING AND
REHABILITATING FOUR CITY OWNED PROPERTIESCnnRn UNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AND
HRA AFFORDABLE HOUSING ACCOUNT FLAIDING FO

WHEREAS, The Cite of Plymouth, along with Hennepin County, as part of the County
Road 101 road improvement project purchased eight (8) single family homes from willing
sellers who believed the reconstruction project would cause a burden on their property:
and Donnnium Development & Acquisition, LLC proposes to form the PIN -mouth Leased
Housing Associates, LP to develop a mried income rental housing development t
WHEREAS, the City of PIN -mouth and the Housing and

development of tnixed income housing that includes Affordable Housing, set up a
committee consisting of staff from the Engineering, Building, Assessing, and Housing
departments to study and make recommendations to the City Council regarding the
appropriate means of selling these properties: and

Committee has reviewed various options for selling the properties and has determined that
four (4) of the homes will require various degrees of rehabilitation in order to be
competitive on the open market: and

WHEREAS, the HRA has local funds available to it to support the development „�
Affor,dableiousing the "HRA Affordable Housing Account Funds" the Conunittee has
determined that the best approach to selling these four (4) properties may be to issue a
Request for Proposal (the "RFP") seeking Builders and Contractors interested in acquiring
these properties and rehabilitating them as required under the RFP:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE HOUSING AND
REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORIT CITY COUNCIL OFIN AND FO THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it hereby approve the issuance of a Request for
Proposal seeking Builders and Contractors to purchase and rehabilitate the homes listed
above in accordance with the Reauest for Prmosatalla, to „r to &2 6-575 ", GDB
