RESOLUTION NO. 2003-590
AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT TO
PROVIDE A VEBA TRUST PLAN WITH SOUTHWEST WEST CENTRAL
SERVICE COOPERATIVE
WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that the City and its employees would benefit
from a high deductible health plan coupled with the opportunity save money with which to pay the
deductible; and
WHEREAS, such plans are now available through our health insurance cooperative group; and
WHEREAS, Southwest West Central Service Cooperative requires a signed agreement for
access to their ; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, THAT THE Mayor and City Manager are authorized
to sign the VEBA Plan for Active Employees providing Plymouth with the Southwest West
Central Service Cooperative's VEBA plan and its associated Benefits Trust Agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT THE Mayor and City Manager are authorized to
renew this agreement in successive years so long as the approved budget includes funds to pay for
any agreement expenses.
