HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2003-589CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2003-589 APPROVING THE 2004 MONTHLY CONTRIBUTION TO HEALTH AND DENTAL INSURANCE OR DEFERRED COMPENSATION FOR NON - REPRESENTED CITY EMPLOYEES. WHEREAS, the City Council annually reviews the compensation package for general City employees; and WHEREAS, the City has settled contracts with its bargaining units which will result in increases in the City's contribution for health and dental insurance coverage; and WHEREAS, the City has agreed in the contracts with bargaining units to contribute an additional sum toward a deferred compensation plan for employees selecting single health care coverage, and WHEREAS, it has been the City's practice to compensate similar groups similarly; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should, and hereby does: Authorizes the payment of the premium for single health care and for single or family dental care for those selecting single health. And, authorizes an increase in the City's contribution to benefits according to the following schedule for all its non -represented employees, effective January 1, 2004. Non Represented Health & Dental $684 per month Employees Insurance Premium Family Health Contribution Coverage Non Represented Health & Dental $584 per month Employees Electing Insurance Premium VEBA $1000 CMM Contribution Family Health Coverage VEBA contribution $100 per month Non Represented Deferred $197.53 per month Employees Compensation Single Health Coverage Non Represented Employees $1000 Major Medical Single Health Coverage Non Represented Employees Electing VEBA $1000 CMM Single Health Coverage Deferred Compensation VEBA contribution Adopted by the City Council on December 16, 2003. $274.53 per month $223.08 per month
