RESOLUTION NO. 2003-577
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
TRANSIT SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THE
METROPOLITAN COUNCIL (METRO TRANSIT) AND
APPROVING PROPOSED RATES
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth provides transit services pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section
473.388; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council, through its transit operations division of Metro Transit,
currently provides transit services for the City of Plymouth through a transit service contract
between the City and the Metropolitan Council; and
WHEREAS, the current transit service contract between the City of Plymouth and the Metropolitan
Council expires December 31, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a three year contract of the transit service contract
between the City and the Metropolitan Council, commencing January 1, 2004 and continuing
through December 31, 2006, is in its best interests; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has received the contract between the City and the Metropolitan
Council for the period January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2006,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. That the City hereby approves the transit service contract between the
Metropolitan Council (through its transit operating division, Metro Transit) and
the City for the period January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2006, and
authorizes the Mayor and City Manager to execute said Contract.
