RESOLUTION NO. 2003-520
APPROVING PROJECT BUDGET FOR
PLYMOUTH ICE CENTER EXPANSION
WHEREAS, the City's architects have prepared a project budget for the expansion of the
Plymouth Ice Center; and
WHEREAS, the estimated project cost is $4,637,688; and
WHEREAS, Providence Academy has agreed to provide $1,250,000 in contributions;
and
WHEREAS, Wayzata Youth Hockey has agreed to contribute $625,000,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL that
the project budget is approved at $4,640,000 with $1,375,000 to be taken from the City's
park dedication funds and an additional $1,390,000 interfund loan which will be repaid
with interest over 15 years from the Ice Arena's operating budget, and further, the
Director of Parks and Recreation is authorized to solicit public bids for the construction
of the Ice Center expansion.
