RESOLUTION NO. 2003-514
PURCHASE OF A CURRENT MODEL EXCAVATOR,
TRAILER AND USED TRUCK
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized solicitation of bids for a Trailer, Excavator and Truck
WHEREAS, the City may purchase off State contracts; and
WHEREAS, St Joseph Equipment, Inc. has contracts with the State for Trailers (contract #429983)
and Excavators (contract # 430518)
WHEREAS, city staff has solicited price quotes on used trucks and has determined that Boyer Truck
has a truck meeting City requirements of fair value.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA; to authorize the purchase of the following items: one current
model Trailer from St. Joseph Equipment, Inc. off the state contract for a total cost of $58,265; one
current model Excavator from St Joseph Equipment, Inc off the state contract for a total cost of
$134,323; one used truck from Boyer Trucks for $51,034.00.
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED; that the purchase will be from the Water Resource Fund 505-1750-
8004, and $243,622 will be transferred from the Street Reconstruction Fund to the Water Resources
Fund to offset the purchase.
