RESOLUTION NO. 2003-513
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN COMPENSATION FOR FIRE
DEPARTMENT MEMBERS PARTICIPATING IN THE RADIOLOGICAL RESPONSE
PROGRAM (RAD) THROUGH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF
PUBLIC SAFETY, DIVISION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency
Management has made monies available through a contract to increase compensation for
Plymouth Fire Department RAD team members from the current $200.00 to $300.00 per year for
their satisfactory and continued participation in mandated radiological program training, drills,
and exercises; and
WHEREAS, the additional compensation will help offset the full-time wage lost to the
paid -on-call member when he/she attends these mandated training, drills and exercises and
attract and retain members to the RAD team; and
WHEREAS, we are requesting an increase of $100.00 to be paid once per year to RAD
team members who meet the attendance and participation requirements of the radiological
response program. The total additional compensation is $300.00 paid once per year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, the City Council adopt the resolution authorizing an increase in
compensation for fire department members participating in the RAD program through a State of
Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Management contract.
Adopted by the City Council on November 10, 2003.
