RESOLUTION NO. 2003-492
APPROVING CLOSING OF SKATING RINKS
WHEREAS, the City has historically maintained a number of skating facilities
throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, it has become more and more difficult with the resources available to
adequately maintain these skating rinks; and
WHEREAS, a number of rinks have been observed to have very low usage year after
year; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL that the Director
of Parks and Recreation is authorized to officially close pleasure skating rinks at Circle
Park, Pilgrim Lane Elementary, Green Oaks Park, Sunset Hill Elementary and Kilmer
Park.
Adopted by the City Council on October 28, 2003.
