ORDERING IMPROVEMENT
15' AVENUE STROM SEWER PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 3130
WHEREAS, that while investigating damage resulting from a large storm event in June
2003 it was discovered that a portion of a 54 inch diameter corrugated metal storm sewer
pipe crossing 15th Avenue west of Pineview Lane has deteriorated to the point of being in
danger of collapse; and
WHEREAS, the most feasible repair for the long term stability of the pipe is to replace
the first 120 feet with reinforced concrete pipe of the same diameter; and
WHEREAS, if the pipe collapsed at this location severe pubic and private property
damage could result; and
WHEREAS, the total estimated cost to replace this segment of storm sewer with all
associated appurtenances is $95,000; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed at an estimated total
cost of $95,000.
2. The Plymouth Engineering Department is designated as engineer for
the improvement and is directed to prepare plans and specifications for
the making of such improvement.
3. The project be financed by the Water Resources Fund.
