HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2003-439CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2003-439 INSTALLATION OF A STOP SIGN FOR SOUTHBOUND GOLDENROD LANE AT 53" AVENUE WHEREAS, as part of the City's Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program, the City has received a request from a resident concerned with the lack of traffic control at the intersection of Goldenrod Lane and 53rd Avenue; and WHEREAS, Goldenrod Lane, which is classified as a local street intersects 53rd Avenue, a minor collector roadway, at a 'T' intersection; and WHEREAS, there are currently stop signs for all the cross streets along 53rd Avenue between Larch Lane and Zachary Lane except Goldenrod Lane; and WHEREAS, for safety purposes and to clearly establish which driver has the right-of-way, the City Engineer has recommended that a stop sign be placed on the north approach of Goldenrod Lane at 53rd Avenue; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that a stop sign be installed for southbound Goldenrod Lane at 53rd Avenue. Adopted by the City Council on October 14, 2003.
