RESOLUTION NO. 2003-398
AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ACCEPT GRANT
FUNDS FROM THE CENTERPOINT ENERGY COMMUNITY
PARTNERSHIP GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE PURCHASE
OF A MOUNTAIN BIKE FOR USE BY THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT BIKE PATROL UNIT
WHEREAS, the Police Department currently has a Bike Patrol Unit and they could use
another mountain bike for use in their patrol function; and
WHEREAS, staff made application to CenterPoint Energy's Community Partnership
Grant Program for funding to purchase such bicycle; and
WHEREAS, the City has been notified that their grant application has been approved in
the amount of $1,300,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUYH, that the grant funds from the CenterPoint Energy Community
Partnership Grant Program in the amount of $1,300 is hereby accepted for the purchase
of a police -equipped mountain bike.
