RESOLUTION NO. 2003-393
REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION OF A CORRIDOR STUDY FOR
VICKSURG LANE FROM COUNTY ROAD 47 TO GLEASON LAKE ROAD
WHEREAS, Vicksburg Lane is a key north -south connection in the City of Plymouth and
future improvements to this roadway need to be studied in detail to provide a safe and
efficient facility; and
WHEREAS, residents have expressed concern for the speeds and safety on Vicksburg Lane;
and
WHEREAS, SRF Consulting Group has prepared a scope of services and a cost estimate to
conduct a study of this corridor; and
WHEREAS, the proposal for a traffic study consists of two parts, analyzing operations and
safety on Vicksburg Lane between Highway 55 and County Road 6 and assessing long-term
objectives for the Vicksburg Lane corridor from County Road 47 to Gleason Lake Road; and
WHEREAS, the cost estimate for this study is estimated at $14,800;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the City Council authorize a
corridor study for Vicksburg Lane between County Road 47 and Gleason Lake Road.
