HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2003-369CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2003-369 AWARDING BID SCHMIDT LAKE ROADNICKSBURG LANE SIGNAL SYSTEM AND INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 3116 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Traffic Control Signal System and Intersection Improvements at Schmidt Lake Road/Vicksburg Lane, and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY BASE BID ALTERNATES TOTAL BID WATERMAIN MILL AND OVERLAY Park Construction Company $261,126.25 $26,028.00 $23,728.10 $310,882.35 North Valley, Inc. $274,210.95 $31,950.90 $33,186.25 $339,348.10 Ridgedale Electric, Inc. $273,353.85 $35,673.00 $33,575.00 $342,601.85 Hardrives, Inc. $307,613.67 $33,830.00 $32,075.00 $373,518.67 WHEREAS, it appears that Park Construction Company of Minneapolis, Mn is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Park Construction Company of Minneapolis, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of Traffic Control Signal System and Intersection Improvements, Schmidt Lake Road/Vicksburg Lane, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer by awarding a contract without the Mill and Overlay Alternate in the amount of $287,154.25. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. Funding for this project will be: Minnesota State Aid Fund $326,408 Utility Trunk Fund $ 32,535 Adopted by the City Council on August 26, 2003.
