RESOLUTION 2003-357
PROVIDING INFORMAL COMMENTS ON THE PROPOSED SKETCH PLAN FOR CVS
PHARMACY ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST QUADRANT OF
HIGHWAY 55 AND COUNTY ROAD 101. (2003070)
WHEREAS, CVS Pharmacy has requested a sketch plan review for a pharmacy to be located at
the southeast quadrant of Highway 55 and County Road 101; and
WHEREAS, any opinions or comments on the sketch plan provided in this resolution or by the
Planning Commission and City Council shall be considered advisory only and shall not
constitute a binding decision on the proposed development; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public
Meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it hereby provides the following comments or suggestions
on the submitted sketch plan application:
1. The City supports retaining the right-in/right-out access to Highway 55 east of County Road
101 in its present location, based on the following findings:
a. Maintaining the access would provide an additional ingress and egress alternative for
much of the traffic attracted to the site.
b. Maintaining the access would limit the amount of traffic needing to make a left turn to
gain access to the site.
2. The City supports elimination of the right-in/right-out access to County Road 101 as shown
on the sketch plan and continuation of discussions with Hennepin County to identify an
alternative right-in/right-out that is acceptable to all parties.
