HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2003-348CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2003-348 RECEIVE PETITION FOR STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND ORDER PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT FOR KINGSVIEW LANE AREA WHEREAS, the City Council has received a petition from property owners in the neighborhood north of Gleason Lake Road including Kingsview Lane, Lanewood Lane, 4th Avenue, 9th Avenue, Minnesota Lane and Juneau Lane requesting an urban street improvement; and WHEREAS, 52% of the adjacent properties signed the petition; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to undertake a Preliminary Engineering Report to determine the work required and the associated costs; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A certain vtition for reconstruction of Kingsview Lane, Lanewood Lane, 4th Avenue, 9t Avenue, Minnesota Lane and Juneau Lane, north of Gleason Lake Road, filed with the Council on August 12, 2003, is hereby declared to be signed by the required percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This declaration is made in conformance to Minnesota Statutes, Section 429.035. 2. The petition is hereby referred to the Design Division of the Engineering Department that is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvements are feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement and the estimated cost of the improvements as recommended. Adopted by the City Council on August 12, 2003.
