HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2003-336CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2003-336 APPROVING AN INTERIM HOME OCCUPATION LICENSE FOR DMITRIY MAZO TO OPERATE A PHOTO -VIDEO STUDIO FROM HIS HOME LOCATED AT 11600 49TH AVENUE NORTH (2003062) WHEREAS, Dmitriy Mazo has requested an interim home occupation license for a photo -video studio in his home at 11600 49th Ave. North, legally described as follows: Lot 11, Block 1, Schmidt Lake Woods 4th Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public meeting and recommends approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Dmitriy Mazo for an interim home occupation license to operate a photo -video studio from his home located at 11600 49th Ave. North, subject to the following conditions: 1. The interim home occupation license is approved for a photo -video studio in accordance with the application and plans received by the City on June 5, 2003, except as amended by this resolution. 2. Compliance with Section 21145 of the Zoning Ordinance, relating to Home Occupations. 3. The interim home occupation license is valid for one year from the date of approval. The applicant may apply to the Zoning Administrator for renewal of the interim home occupation prior to expiration of the license. 4. Staff finds that the applicant meets all the general standards for home occupations and all the specific requirements for interim home occupations. Specifically, staff finds: Resolution 2003-336 (2003 062) Page 2 a) The home occupation would be clearly incidental and secondary to the residential use of the premises, would not change the residential character, and would not result in a disturbance to the surrounding uses. b) On -street parking facilities shall not be utilized to accommodate parking demand. c) Less than 25 percent of one story of the home would be used for the home occupation. d) No person other than those who reside in the home would be employed on the premises.
