RESOLUTION No. 2015-149
RESOLUTION APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE
SECTION 21655.43 (2015018)
WHEREAS, Life Care Services has requested approval of a planned unit development amendment
for a master sign plan for Trillium Woods located at the southeast corner of Juneau Lane and County Road
47, presently legally described as Lot 1, Block 1, and Lot 1, Block 2, Trillium Woods, Hennepin County,
Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing and
recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance amending the zoning ordinance text.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Life Care Services to amend Section
21655.43 Trillium Woods PUD, based on the following findings:
1. The proposal is consistent with the LA -3 land use designation on the comprehensive plan land use
guide plan map.
2. The proposal would maintain the efficiency of the public streets by helping drivers find their way
around the campus to the specific buildings and entrances.
3. The proposal protects and promotes the aesthetics and general welfare of the city.
4. The proposal provides for variations to the strict application of the land use regulations in the zoning
ordinance and incorporates design elements that exceed the city's standards to offset the effect of
any variations.
ADOPTED by the City Council on this 26th day of May, 2015.
