RESOLUTION NO. 2003-283
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
PARKERS LAKE ROCK WEIR
STORM DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT NO. 2026
WHEREAS, the Council on March 26, 2002, has approved the Parkers Lake
Implementation Plan to manage and improve the water quality of Parkers Lake; and
WHEREAS, the Parkers Lake Implementation Plan has identified the Rock Weir
Structure as one of the recommended Lake Improvement Projects; and
WHEREAS, the Rock Weir Structure will provide additional water quality treatment for
the Parkers Lake Northeast Watershed District; and
WHEREAS, the City's Consulting Engineer, Bonestroo Rosene Anderlik & Associates,
has prepared plans and specifications for the construction of Rock Weir Structure and has
presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City
Engineer's Office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper
and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for the making
of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the work to be done,
shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on
August 7, 2003 at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council
Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth
Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids
will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check
payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
