HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2003-266CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2003-266 APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT TO ALLOW ROOM ADDITIONS TO LIVING AREA, NOT EXCEEDING 300 SQUARE FEET, ON PIER FOOTINGS. (2003039) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the text amendment at a duly called Public Hearing; and WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Zoning Ordinance text amendment to allow room additions to living area, not exceeding 300 square feet, on pier footings. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve a Zoning Ordinance text amendment to allow room additions to living area, not exceeding 300 square feet, on pier footings, based upon the following findings: 1. Allowing room additions to living area, not exceeding 300 square feet, on pier footings would be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan. 2. Allowing room additions to living area, not exceeding 300 square feet, on pier footings, is consistent with the purpose and intent of the Ordinance. 3. The ordinance standards will ensure that room additions will not adversely impact the public health, safety or aesthetics of the community. ADOPTED by the City Council on June 10, 2003.
