Commissioner Zylla Inquired; about the exterior building'
materials; and, plans for the property to the east.
Mr. Saulon stated they would use masonry block (a burnished
block that can be different color variations). This would
be natural tones, the black is autoclaved and is similar to
the construction as the color goes through the block. The
top of the building. will have an arch itfvo:ura.l metal
canopy. The canopy .is anodi4ed bronze, it weaviers >well.and
blends naturally with its surroundings.. Mr. Saul,cn noted
that stucco and glass will also be used and the ,, %,.tonwood
Pl4zall will: also utilize burnished block so will be a
oontinui.ty of style and color.

Mr R. Theodore Anderson, 55aO Halifax Ar nnue. North, stated

about drainage. City engineer Goldberg stated there will .be
a temporary holding pond constructed for rater storage and

to Amend the Main Motion by adding an exception to Condition
No. 13< to recommend approval of the Variance request to
allow display vehioles to be parked on an unpaved surface;
using precast "paver block" strips upon which,` the :. vehicles
can be Moved and pQrked; and, through which Grass can grow
and give the appearance of green space.

Comidssioner Plufka based the recommendation on giving bet-
ter site : circulation and enhancing traffic safety
considerations.,, s
Commissioner Z le stated this c_ould become an emotional
issue by denying similar requests for signage that would
exceed 'the Ordinance maximums., He is concerned, about set
ting. a dangerous precedent. He can only support the vara.-
ante r-equest if there is justification by }cast practicesand
approvals by the City. -
Commissioner Plufka stated this would be no different than
the directional signage approved for Trammell Crow's
Plymouth Business Center. The signage must be sized- for
aesthetics but also: must function for traffic circulation
and safety,
Planner Cottingham explained the variance approved for
Trammell Crow Company for Plymouth Business Center to exoeed
the Ordinance maximum for directional signage on their site, ,
Commissioner Zylla confirmed `that the variance is granted to
accomplish workable site circulation andel, the signage is,
unique to this site for those reasons;

Commissioner Plufka. stated that the potential for a 'mass"
of signage is a concern. He Inquired If the petitioner
would move the pylon sign from the corner; this would take
it from County (toad 9 to some d,egrec, but would still be
visible to I-494. Mrs Brokke stated he would have: no
problem having this done.
