HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2003-215CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2003 - 215 APPROVING A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR BEGIN OAKS GOLF FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5635 YUCCA LANE NORTH (2003035) WHEREAS, Begin Oaks Golf has requested approval of a site plan amendment to allow construction of a 10 -foot by 16 -foot accessory building related to golf instruction on property legally described as follows: The North Half of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 3, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota, excluding rights-of-way. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public meeting and recommends approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Begin Oaks Golf for a site plan amendment to allow construction of a 10 -foot by 16 -foot accessory building related to golf instruction for property located at 5635 Yucca Lane North, subject to the following conditions: 1. The site plan amendment allows construction of a 10 -foot by 16 -foot accessory building in the southern portion of the driving range, pursuant to the narrative and plans received by the City on April 18, 2003, except as may be amended by this resolution. 2. Prior to construction of the building, the applicant shall obtain the appropriate building permit. 3. The light source for any lighting shall be shielded or treated in a manner so as to prevent glare onto I-494 and nearby properties. Resolution 2003-215 (2003 03 5) Page 2 of 2 4. The materials and colors of the building shall be compatible with the townhomes in The Reserve PUD, with vinyl siding and a shingled roof. 5. Standard Conditions: a. Any subsequent phases or expansions are subject to required reviews and approvals per Ordinance provisions. b. This approval shall expire one year after the date of approval, unless the landowner has substantially started construction of the project, or unless the landowner or applicant has received prior approval from the City to extend the expiration date for up to one additional year, as regulated under Section 21045.09 of the Zoning Ordinance ADOPTED by the City Council on May 13, 2003.
