RESOLUTION NO. 2003-205
AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF
2ND AVENUE NORTH
(GREENDALE DRIVE AND GREENDALE LANE)
GREENDALE ADDITION
WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate 2nd Avenue North street right-of-way easement in
Greendale Addition; and
WHEREAS, said petition was signed by a majority of the owners of the land abutting the area
proposed to be vacated; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was scheduled for April 22, 2003 in
accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851 and the City Charter Section 12.06; and
WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the
meeting of April 22, 2003; and
WHEREAS, all property owners adjacent to the proposed vacation were duly notified by mail; and
WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on April 22, 2003 to inform any and all interested
parties relevant to the vacation of 2nd Avenue North in Greendale Addition; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that said easement was not needed for public
purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the following street right-of-way easement be vacated:

All that part of 2nd Avenue in the City of Plymouth, platted as Greendale Drive and
Greendale Lane in the plat of Greendale lying westerly and southerly of the following
described line.
Beginning at the most southerly southeasterly corner of Lot 5, Block 1, Greendale;
thence along a nontangential curve concave to the east, having a radius of 50.00 feet, a
central angle of 73 degrees 44 minutes 00 seconds and a chord bearing of South 01
degrees 19 minutes 07 seconds East a distance of 64.34 feet to the most northerly
northeasterly corner of Lot 6, Block 2, Greendale and there terminating. Said 2nd
Avenue abuts Lot 5, Block 1 on the south and Lot 6, Block 2 on the north and west.
Adopted by the City Council on April 22, 2003.
