RECEIVE PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT
APPROVE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
2002 MILL AND OVERLAY AND INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT NO. 2028
WHEREAS, the City's Consulting Engineer, Howard R. Green Company has prepared a
preliminary engineering report and plans and specifications for 2002 Mill and Overlay and
Intersection Improvements for the mill and overlay of the bituminous surface along with
all appurtenances of
1. Larch Lane from County Road 9 to the Canadian Pacific Railroad north of
Schmidt Lake Road,
2. Medicine Ridge Road from East Medicine Lake Blvd. to 26th Ave.,
3. 6th Avenue from Xenium Lane east approximately 500 feet,
4. 50th Avenue from Schmidt Lake Road east approximately 150 feet,
5. Approximately 500 feet of 48th Avenue and Jonquil Lane south of Schmidt Lake
Road
and pave the final bituminous wear for Holly Lane from Old Rockford Road to north of
46th Ave. and modification of the intersection of West Medicine Lake Drive and Trunk
Highway 55 to create a dual left turn lane and has presented such report and plans and
specifications to the Council for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such preliminary engineering report is approved and improvements are
hereby ordered.
2. Plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City Engineer's
Office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
3. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper
and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for the making
of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the work to be done,
shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on
September 4, 2002 at which time they will be publicly opened in the
Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth
Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids
will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check
payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
