RESOLUTION NO. 2003-140
APPROVING CHANGE IN FEE FOR AUDIT SERVICES FOR 2002
WHEREAS, the City charter, State statutes and federal regulations require an annual audit of the
City's financial records; and
WHEREAS, the firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP has provided good audit services in the past;
and
WHEREAS, the City has approved a proposal from Deloitte & Touche LLP to provide audit
services to the City for the years 2000, 2001 and 2002 for $34,600, $36,150 and $37,600
respectively.
WHEREAS, the firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP has determined that the additional procedures
required by SAS No. 99 will cost an additional $3,600 in fees for adoption of this standard, as this
was not contemplated in the original agreement with the City. The additional fee is based on the
estimated additional time (approximately 40 hours) necessary to perform these procedures at our
minimum required current rate ($90/hour). The estimated additional time was derived from our
experiences at clients of a similar size and nature to the City of Plymouth.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP is hereby
approved to perform audit services for the City for the year2002 for the fee of $41,200.
