RESOLUTION 2003-139
APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT
FOR THE ASSOCIATION FREE LUTHERAN BIBLE COLLEGE FOR PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 3120 EAST MEDICINE LAKE BOULEVARD (2003009)
WHEREAS, Association Free Lutheran Bible College has requested a Planned Unit Development
(PUD) Amendment for property legally described as follows:
Lot 2, Block 1, AFLS Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Zoning Ordinance requires a text amendment for a PUD Amendment;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing
and recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance text for
Association Free Lutheran Bible College.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does support and approve the request
by Association Free Lutheran Bible College for a PUD amendment and related Zoning Ordinance
text amendment, based on the following findings:
1. The proposed ball field would be consistent with the objectives of the Comprehensive Plan
and with the P -I (Public/ Semi-Public/Institutional) guiding of the site.
2. The proposed ball field would not affect the purpose or intent of this PUD, which was
established to provide for uses related to the Bible College.
