RESOLUTION NO. 2003-057
APPROVING MUNICIPAL WASTE ABATEMEN
INCENTIVE FUND AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has established a Municipal Waste Abatement Incentive Fund to
provide matching assistance to selected municipal residential waste abatement projects and to
distribute funds to the Cities for development and implementation of waste reduction and recycling
programs; and
WHEREAS, the City is partnering with Wayzata High School and Minnesota WasteWise to
increase abatement at the High school by improving current recycling programs and incorportate an
organics composting system into their waste management program;
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has made an application for a municipal waste abatement
incentive project grant and has been selected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the City enter into the Municipal Waste Abatement
Incentive Fund Agreement with Hennepin County.
Adopted by the City Council on January 28, 2003.
