ORDINANCE NO. 97-30
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11, SECTION 1135
OF THE PLYMOUTH CITY CODE CONCERNING
MASSAGE THERAPY
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Section 1135.13 of the Plymouth City Code is amended to read:
1135.13 Conditions Governing Issuance:
(a) Certificates may be issued only to persons of good repute.
(b) Certificates may be issued only to persons free of convictions of prostitution
or offenses which involve moral turpitude or which relate directly to the
persons ability, capacity, or fitness to perform the duties and discharge the
responsibility of the occupation.
(c) Certificates shall not be issued to a person who, within one year prior to the
date of application, has been denied certification or who has had a
certificate revoked.
(d) Certificates may be issued only to persons who have answered fully all of
the information requested in the application and have paid the full
investigation and certification fees. (ord. 95-21, 04/04/95)
(e) Certificates may be issued only to persons 18 years of age or older.
(f) Certificates may be issued only to persons with sufficient practical
experience or training to perform the duties and discharge the
responsibilities of the occupation.

Qo —Certificates may be issued only to persons who have professional liability
insurance, with policy limits as required by the City, for a term no shorter
than the Certificate period. (Ord. 95-21, ovovo)
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its adoption.
ADOPTED by the City Council this 19th day of November ,
1997.
