HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Ordinance 1997-03CITY OF PLYMOUTH HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA ORDINANCE NO. 97-3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 96-33, THE PLYMOUTH CITY CODE, BY AMENDING CHAPER 21 (DEFINITIONS AND O -R, OFFICE RESIDENTIAL TRANSITION ZONING DISTRICT) THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS: Section 1. Section 21005.02 of the Plymouth City Code (Definitions) is hereby amended to add the following definitions: Extended Stay Hotel: A building or structure intended as, used as, maintained as, or advertised as a place where sleeping accommodations are furnished to the public as regular roomers, primarily for periods of one week or more. Section 2. Section 21450.07. Subd. 5. of the Plymouth City Code (O -R Zoning District) is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 21450 - O -R, OFFICE/RESIDENTIAL TRANSITION DISTRICT 21450.07. Subd. 5. (Conditional Uses) Extended Stay Hotels without restaurants provided that: (a) More than fifty (50) percent of the rooms shall have cooking facilities. (b) Accessory restaurants, reception halls, cocktail lounges, and conference centers shall be prohibited. (c) All signage shall be compatible with surrounding residential and business uses.
