AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE 96-9 AND RESOLUTION 96-555
REGARDING A CHARTER AMENDMENT REQUIRING A SUPERMAJORITY
VOTE FOR A TAX RATE INCREASE
Preamble
WHEREAS, Plymouth City Charter Section 3.10 allows the amendment and repeal of
ordinances and resolutions.
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS:
Ordinance 96-9 and Resolution 96-555 pertaining to a charter amendment requiring a
supermajority vote of the city council for a tax rate increase are hereby repealed.
Effective Date.
This ordinance shall not be effective until the Plymouth Charter Commission makes its
recommendation to the Plymouth City Council on alternative language for the supermajority
proposal, by September 2, 1998.
