HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Ordinance 1999-28CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDINANCE NO. 99-28 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE CHAPTER VII RELATING TO WATER RATES THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Subsections (b) and (c) of Section 720.17 of the Plymouth City Code are amended to read as follows: (b) Volume Charge -Commercial, Industrial, Public and Institutional. Volume Charge -Residential. A charge of $.70 per one thousand gallons of water for the first 12,500 gallons used, $.80 per one thousand gallons of water for 12,501 to 35,000 gallons used, and $1.50 per one thousand gallons of water for over 35,000 gallons used for a two month billing period, shall be made to each residential water account. In those instances where there is no adequate water meter history, the measure of usage shall be that used for similar classes of property similarly situated. (c) Demand Charge. The following monthly charge shall be made to every Commercial, Industrial, Public and Institutional water account to reflect the water demand the establishment can place upon the system. Subsection (b) of Section 720.17 shall be effective for water billings rendered after May 1, 2000, and Subsection (c) of Section 720.17 shall be effective January 1, 2000.
