Planner Overhiser explanted that the: staff is recommending that a frontage road be started on the south side of this property running east and gest; and that, the access to the station- be froia tliis road.: The Commissioners reviewed the Thoroughfare Paan, and the proposed tri -level interchange for Highway SS and 1-491 and igreed that they would be against allowing, the petitioner access 0o the frontage road to the north of thee property because of the dangers created in traffic turning off of highway 55. Conai:ssioner KroskM' stated he had no objections to the subdivision but dial have reservations about the Conditional Use Permitbecause lie is against creating a "gasoline alley" along Highway 55 in Plymouth. Planner Overhiser indicated the matter of the interchange would be before the Council at their .next m-eting; therefore, it is impossible to determine at this time `~that dedication should be made. A-582 Dr. Sam P. Vardalos Dr. Sam P. Vardalos is requesting a Conditional Use Permit for DR. &AM P. VARDALOS a Chiropractor's office in his, home in an R-1 district. He pro- — poses to convert a two -car garage, into an office and build a car Conditional Use Permit port to house his own vehicles. He indicated he would have no Home Occupation emPloyees and that parking, would be available for two cars. Chairman Wahl stated lie felt this would be a traffic generator andnotsomething that lends itself as an inconspicuous home occupation. Commissioner Threinen cited the definition of the home occupation from the Zoning Ordinance and pointed out the restriction against the construction of any special structure or entrances. Right-of-way for County Road 18 and its new frontage -road have taken sizeable portions of the Subdivision Variance front yards of these two parcels, and, the expansion to the back is necessary for parking facilities. The expansion footage would be taken iron parcel 2066, Parcel 1585 (601 X 2401) would be in- creased in size by an additional 601 X 2001 creating a neii Parcel A. Planner Overhiser indicated it was the staffrecamendation that the single family corner lots which can obtain access from 32nd or 34th avenues be required to do so and. that al.l other single family Lots fronting on Pilgrim Lane be required to have joint driveways thus limiting; access points between. 32nd. Avenue and 34th avenue to 4 on the west and 5 on the east. Commissioner Hagen stated he did not :feel this was necessary as Pilg°im Lane is a collector street and not a thoroughfare street. Commissioner Keeley stated he felt single family ne-ighborhoods should have single family driveways and that common driveways would look bad.
