ORDINANCE NO. 2002-18
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TEXT OF CHAPTER 21 OF THE PLYMOUTH CITY
CODE, ENTITLED THE PLYMOUTH ZONING ORDINANCE (2002023)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Amendments. The text of Chapter 21 of the Plymouth City Code is hereby
amended as follows:
SECTION 21005.02 (RULES AND DEFINITIONS—DEFINITONS) IS HEREBY AMENDED
AS FOLLOWS:
Setback: The minimum horizontal distance between a structure and the prepert)- lot line
nearest thereto-, except that if an outlot for a public trail separates such lot line from a street
right-of-way, setback shall mean the minimum horizontal distance between a structure and the
street right-of-way line. Additionally, within shoreland districts it -setback shall alse -mean the
minimum horizontal distance between a structure or a sewage treatment system and the ordinary
high water level. For purposes of earth shelter buildings only, above grade portions shall be used
in determining setback requirements. In all cases, Ddistances are to be measured from the most
outwardly extended portion of the structure at ground level, except as provided hereinafter.
SECTION 2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage.
ADOPTED by the City Council on May 14, 2002.
