A special -meeting of the Planning Commission, has c,illed to order by Chairman Wahl
at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 1971 in the: Ciuncil Chambers of the Public

to recommend approval of the Conditional Use Permit with the re-

quested variance in parking requirements as indicated on Exhibit A
showing 30 parking spaces, subject to the following conditions:
is That if the intended, use, is changed that the petitioner
must return to the Village and review with the staff and
Platning Commission the proposed new use or the building.
2. That if it is determined by the Village staffand 'Planning
Commission zha.t additional parking is required, that the
petitioner insure, by letter to the Village,, that the addi-
tional parking ,spaces will be constructed prior to the new
use occupying the building.

tions:

1. q'he tank should be limited in height so that its top
elevation does not exceed than top elevation, of the
rating warehouse,. ' This 'could be aci:ompl;ished either
by changing the diameter of the tank or by partially
sinking it into the ground'.
2.. The pumphouse should be of the; sate ;frice brick used oto
the warehouse.
3. The tank should have some landscaping around it, not
to hide it, but to improve 'cbe aesthacits,

from the required 86 spaces to 30 spaces- because tb proposed
plant is to be automated and will employ only 13 to 20 persons,

Petition. Request by Chrysler Corporation, 13005 Highway 55 Plymouth
Village Vir a Conditional Use ,Permit to construct a 250,000
all.oa water storage tank and pump house on their property.
Chrysler Corp.: it was pointed out by the petitioners that the: reason .for the
request is, that: -their insurance company requested that they
have a secondary sour of water for fire protection in case
their major source is cud off,
Motion: Motion made by. Commissioner Keeley, second by Commissioner Kxoskin:;
to grant the Conditional Use Permit subject to the following.
conditions;

Mr. sans Hagen, representing Ban -Con, Inca requested a Conditional
Use Permit to locate a sign tit the Northeast corner of Highway 55
and .Dunkirk Lane in an R -O Open, Residential District,
IHau. Stated that it is difficult for some developers in the Village to
get'peopin to their projects, and that some type of solution has
to be found if the 'pillage, is to continue to be a growing, community.
Planner orhiserc Stated Haat the Village is working with :the State Highway Department
on the location of better street identification signs on Highway .55
as one solution to the problem. These are to be placed in the
State: 1972 budget, but Village staff vile request that they be
located as soon as possible.
