A, speeial meeting of the Planning Commission was:. called to order by Chairman Wahl
at 7:45 p.m. in the Council Chambers. of the Public -Works Building on Plednesday,
September Z9, 1971,
MEMBUS PRESENT- Chairman Jim Wahl, %ummissioners John Rotb, Gerald Neils, William
Keeley, Reg Xraskin and Commissioner Marlo June arrived at 9 p.m

A-339 - Shelter Hozes
Larry Laukka of Shelter Homes reported to the Planning Commission that A-339
after amore thorough examination of their site, and, in light of the SHELTER HOMS
Planning Commission's comments, they have decided to abandon plans for
development on the site they bad optioned. They do, however, hope to
find a new location is Plymouth, When they do, they will; be backk be-
fore the Planning Commission,
A-338 Mission :Farms
Horace Paul. of Mss-lon. Farms avd Dill Larson and Bruce Pankonin of A-33$
Midwest Planning presented to the Planning Com-dSsion .a concept plan MISSION FARM
for development of the Mission Iarm property.. Mr. Paul gave the back
grcaand history of the Miss on ,nd Mr« Larson anc >i; . Pankonin pre-
sented thn development plans.. They are proposing •o develop 325 acres
as a Planned gait Development. In this development-, they are planning
an excess of 20% for pant: land. Chairman Wahl asked the representatives
if they would furnish the Commis with more detailed information for
review by the Commission members. They will also submit„ a more de-
tailed description of type of action they would like to request of the
Planning Commission at this time.
Thoroughfare.Plan
After .a brief d%scus;ion, it was decided that the Staff should complete THOROUGHFARE ;ALAN
malting their recommendations, the Planning Commission should review
axd adopt and then the Village Council should review and: adopt the
Thcroughfare, Plan..
A-305 Names G. ShaughnqssX Preliminary Plat
Tb Commission met as a Committee of the Whole on the Shaughnessy A-305
petition. Motion snide by Commissioner Xroskin, second by Commissioner SHAUGHXT SS'
Julle, that the Petitioner provide a pedestrian wallagay off the surface PRELIMINARY PLAT.

abstaining.,
New Business
Planner Overhiser is to look into having the Subdivision Ordia ice NEW BUSINESS
changed to require 60 foot-Ight-of`-ways instead of 50 ,foot righ
of -mays ..
Cocmnissioner Xroskin is to arrange for a. speaker for October 13 or
October 27 on the subject of what lenders require of developers.
The ComAssioners also discussed the procedures to be usea in: pro-
cessing various requests of petitioners.
