Commissioner Pollock gave a committee report oxo the Wallace Freeman A.-323
petition for rezoning to B-2 and IR -4, It vas the unanimo+zs feeling WAVIACE FREEMN
of etre committee that both :requests should be denied; for the, .follow- REZONING REQ[s'EST
i1ag reasons: B-2 AND R-4
1. Deny the E-2 rezoning request because.
a. No change in the character of the area
b. Area still appeases reasonable for B-1 'use,,
c. Area adequately served by shopping f:aciliti 5.
2, Deny the R-4 rezoning request because:
a, kuld hamper proper development of the D-1 area.,
b. No Iemonstrated need for additional. R-4 zoning at
this time.
An additional comment made regarding guiding further development in
this area was that consideration should be given to. extending Quaker
Lane south. to join Westwood, Circle for reaso=ble circalatiorx, safety
and utility loo,)ing.

Notion made by Commissioner 'Neils, second by Commissioner Keeley, A--233 - MOTION ON
to adopt the revisions to the East liedicine Like Guide Plan as EAST MEDICINE LAKE
proposed on Exhibit i3-2 dated 8/18/71. (Attached) . Mot .on. GUIDE WAN - ACCEPT
passed 5-0.
Planner Overbiser commented that although the Commission accepted
the revised guide plan, the Council probably would not accept it
until a plan for the entire Village is completed, However, the
rav;i.aed plan will be submitted to the Council for their consider-
ation,

Commissioner Keeley said it should be pointed out that there are
no basic changes in the uses guided in the Central Area Guide COMzZNT RE AUG. 18
Play., but we :are suggesting guiding: for the area north of the MINUTES AND CENTRAL

to the boundaries actually adopted by the Council,
