A-323 Wallace Freeman. Rezoning Request
The Commission met as a Committee of the Whole and discussed the A-323
Freeman proposal, The following decisions were rea4hed: FRERMW
REZONING REQUEST
1. Deny the B-2 rezoning request Lecause. B-2 AND R-4
a. No change in the character of the area
b, .Area still appears re4 qo,, able for B-1 use
c. Area adequately served any shopping facilities
2. Deny the R-4 rezoning request because:

a, Could hamper proper cev. lopment of the E-1 area
b. No demonstrated needfog: additional R 4 zorang at
this time
Additional comment--i.n guiding further development in this area,
consi.d-,rati,on'shoul,d be given to extending Quaker Lane south to
Join Westwood Circle for reasonable circuli iai.,t, safaty and utility
looping or some alternate solution.
Criteria
The "Suirab-U Tiousing and Environment" csriteria. were discussed by CRITERIA
the Commission,
Xorion made, by Commissioner Xeeley, second by Cc.mnissioner Krosicia, MOTION
to accept the "Suitabl~p, Housing and Environment" criteria as ro.-
vised on; August 25, 1971 with'the exceptioza of Item #6 under Ob-
fective #2. Motion passed all in favor.
Che sign ordinance revisions were referred to Planner Overbiser SIGN ORDINANCE
for further review, He is to report back to the Planning Com-
mission on his findings
Motion to adjourn passers all its favor.
