A regular meeting of the Planning, Commission waa called to order by Chairman Eganat8d05pum,
Present; Chmn. Egan,, Commissioners Chapman, Hafner,, Liedtke., Xroskin, Pollock and
Prekker;•., John Bergly, Planner.
Minutes of the meetings :of March 2611969; April 30, 1969; May 14,. 1969; May 28, 1969;
and Juna 11, 1969wens submitted for approval. Upon motion and second the minutes
Of March 26,, 1969; April 30,, 1 69; and May 28, 1969, were approved by a unaminous ayemote.. The minutes of May, 14, 969, were continued as there -,were a number of changes' to be made.. The minutes of Ju,ie ll, 1969, were also continued so that the members of
the Commission could study them,

rezoned any land at this time, and that they: will: only recommend a rezoning
to the Council who will make the decision.
Opponens: Richard Coxe, representing the MIP; he believed that this was the
first plat to copie fcrward since the storm sewer report: was presented which
directly affects MIP and that the atorm sewer problem had not been resolved.
Ile stkted that HIP would be opposed to .a plat that relies on that storm sewer.
Boli Ford, 1.730 Ithaca Lane;, dile was concerned about the roads. ?lie Commission
then discussed the acquiring of 'the aright of way on 27th Avenue and rhe
future zoning north of 27th.,
Don Begin,, 14520 C 17th Avenue North, inquired as to Any Ithaca Vane ;extension,
Cbmn.. Egan closed the hearing at 9:32; p.m.
Chma, Egan opened a Public ;fearing at '9:.34 p.m. to review the Guide Plan RE: GUIDE PLAN
for land use between 17th Avenue and 36th Avenue on the East side of EAST MEDICINE LAKE
Medicine lake. V.- then turned the meeting over to fir. John Sergl,y,
Planner', who made an extensive presentation explaining the guide plan ACTION-: APPROVED
and the reasoning for it.
Opporents: rix;. Sid Bader, 3005 Otto Avenue, Minneapolis; a good plan but
questioned the area between, the two schools.
l!r:. Jerry Neils, 3890; Orleans, representix;g himself and the Four Seasons
Homeowners Association. Concern about the area between the two schools and
also the traffic flow in and around the northern of the study area.

suggested that the site plan be presented to the Commission for
approval before he issues a building permit. The entire area will
be maintained as a private development. A discussion followed on the
maintenance of the streets and utilities etc. Also the approval. in
1967 and how it meets the ordinance now in light of the changes in
the ordinance since 1967 and requirements since the rezoning was approved.
Chmx. Egan requested that they come back to the Commission's middle o
the month meeting with some of the changes and a site plan. More dis-
cussion followed.
MOTION by Com. Prekker to recommend tentative approval of the site plan with final
s1te plazas to be worked out with Mr. Eergly and Cora. Hedtke prior to submittal,
to the Council.. Discussion on the motion. Motrion seconded and passed by a five
ave vote

Chmn. Egan requested that he have a vice-chairman to help with the cork load
in Light of the fact that the Commission is meeting more often. Com-
missioners Pollock and Prekker twere. nominated Commissioner Pollock
was elected: vice-chairman.
