Resolution Awarding the Contract for Precast Structural
Concrete and the Quote Categories for the Plymouth Ice Center
Dry land Training Facility
Project (40021)
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Ice Center Dry Land Training facility is a public-private partnership with the City of Plymouth, Acceleration Minnesota NW and Wayzata Youth
Hockey Association for the construction of a 7,500 square foot addition onto the Plymouth Ice Center; and
WHEREAS, the new space will be leased to Acceleration Minnesota NW, who will
operate the dry land training facility; and
WHEREAS, Wayzata Youth Hockey Association will contribute 40% of the overall construction costs for the facility; and
WHEREAS, pursuant
to an advertisement for bids for the Plymouth Ice Center Dry Land Training Facility, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying
with the advertisement:

$244,696.00
WHEREAS, Hanson Structural Precast, Inc. is the low responsible bidder, complying
with the minimum specifications; and
WHEREAS, the project also identifies quote categories 1A-32B which were received, tabulated and are recommended by the project manager RJM Construction
in the amount of $841,405.00.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized
and directed to enter into a contract with Hanson Structural Precast, Inc. of Maple Grove, MN for the Plymouth Ice Center Dry Land Training Facility in the amount of $244,696.
FURTHERMORE,
BE IT RESOLVED that the overall project cost is $1,349,000 and will be financed utilizing an internal loan from the Capital Improvement Fund.
