RESOLUTION No. 2012-369
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF REPLACEMENT
MOBILE RADIOS FOR BOTH THE POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS
WHEREAS, our current Motorola mobile radios in both the police department and fire
department are obsolete and due for replacement; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County uses a sole vendor for this type of purchase; and
WHEREAS, the city will save $400 per radio if the radios are purchased prior to
December 14, 2012, which is a savings of $23,600; and
WHEREAS, the city has planned for this expenditure through the CIP and has budgeted
for this expense; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the attached resolution to purchase mobile
radios be adopted.
