HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2012-316CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2012-316 A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR SALT STORAGE FACILITY CITY PROJECT NO. 11035 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for improvement No. 11035, the constriction of a new fabric covered, steel framed salt storage facility, and all necessary appurtenances, and bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID Derau Constriction $438,200.00 Outland Constryction $605,031.00 Parkos Constriction $403,800.00 Project One Constriction $388,135.00 Greystone Constriction $361,800.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Greystone Constriction of Shakopee, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Greyston Constriction of Shakopee, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the Salt Storage Facility, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer by awarding a contract in the amount of $361,800. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successfiil bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. Funding for this project will be from: $201,800 General Fund Surplus $160,000 Facilities Management Fund Approved this 23rd day of October, 2012.
