RESOLUTION No. 2015-018
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT SINGLE AXLE TRUCK
CGT
WHEREAS, the approved 2015-2019 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and 2015 Central
Equipment budget include $170,000 to replace one single axle truck with a mounted oil distributor
through the Central Equipment replacement fund; and
WHEREAS, the City may make purchases off the State of Minnesota contracts; and
WHEREAS, Swanston Equipment Company has a contract with the State for this complete unit
meeting the City's specifications, Contract #82587.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, the following purchase is hereby approved: purchase of one (1) current model Single
Axle Truck Chassis and one oil distributor from Swanston Equipment Company.
WHEREAS, the total expenditure is as follows:

Less trade
$(25,000.00)
Net after trade
$44,452.00
Sales tax on $44,452.00
$2,889.38
Total cost of chassis
$47,341.38
Cost of distributor
$88,943.00
Prep and freight
$2,200.00
Total for complete unit
$138,484.38
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, the funding will be from 600-70-760-76001-8100.500.
