RESOLUTION No. 2015-010
A RESOLUTION TO REQUEST FOR PAYMENT N0. 3 AND FINAL
FOR THE KINGSVIEW HEIGHTS EDGE MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT
(12002)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as owner and Knife River Corp. as contractor, have
entered into an agreement for the Kingsview Heights Edge Mill and Overlay Project, City Project
No. 12002, said agreement was approved by the City Council on July 24, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and his approval of the
final request for payment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. That the original contract amount was $1,099,200.51, revised contract
amount of $1,271,960.35 and the value of the work to date is $1,290,782.17
and is herewith approved.
2. That the work performed by the contractor for the Kingsview Heights Edge
Mill and Overlay Project and certified to the Council by the engineer as
acceptable, being the same, is hereby released from the contract except as
to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the
owner, required guarantees and correction of faulty work after final
payment.
3. Request for Payment No. 3 and Final in the amount of $64,539.11 to Knife
River Corp. for the Kingsview Heights Edge Mill and Overlay Project is hereby
approved and the City's Administrative Services Director is hereby authorized
and directed to pay the same forthwith. Funding for this project would come
from the Water Fund ($171,106.24), Sewer Fund ($179,200.99), Water
Resources Fund ($116,257.34), Street Replacement Fund ($924,476.14),
Street Maintenance budget ($4,605.63), and assessments (1,013,039.00).
