RESOLUTION No. 2015-006
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2015-2016 TREE REMOVAL,
TRIMMING Fk HAULING CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, the Parks & Forestry Division oversees the contracts for annual City tree removal,
trimming, and hauling; and
WHEREAS staff accepted bids for the 2015 and 2016 Tree Removal, Street Tree Trimming & Hauling
contract on City owned lands; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with City bid policy, specifications were proposed and distributed and
bid proposals were received and opened on December 17, 2014; and
WHEREAS, the following contractors received bid specifications, and three valid bids were
received by the City; and

WHEREAS, Ostvig Tree, Inc has performed satisfactorily for Plymouth for the past two years in a
similar capacity; and
WHEREAS, the bid of Ostvig Tree, Inc is in conformance with City specifications for tree removal,
street tree trimming & hauling. Ostvig Tree, Inc is therefore declared lowest responsible bidder for a
two-year contract (2015 & 2016) for a total of $214,926.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BYTHE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the City accepts the proposal of Ostvig Tree, Inc for tree removal, trimming, and
hauling in fiscal years 2015 and 2016, with an overall budget amount not to exceed $154,500 per year.
APPROVED this 13th day of January, 2015.
