HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Minutes 01-06-2015 SpecialAdopted Minutes Special Council Meeting January 6, 2015 Mayor Slavik called a Special Meeting of the Plymouth City Council to order at 5:30 p.m. in the Medicine Lake Room of City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, on January 6, 2015. COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Slavik, Councilmembers Johnson, Prom, Willis, and Wosje. Councilmembers-elect Beard and Carroll. ABSENT: None. STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Callister, Community Development Director Juetten, Public Works Director Cote, Administrative Services Director Fischer, Park and Recreation Director Evans, Police Chief Goldstein, Fire Chief Klein, and Human Resource Manager Kone. Goal Setting, Legislative Priorities, Work Plans, and Organizational Expectations City Manager Callister reviewed the goal setting and legislative priorities for 2015. Discussion was held on transportation concerns including Highway 169, Highway 55 and Rockford Road bridge. Other items addressed were local control concerns, fiscal reform, the Metropolitan Council, public safety concerns and support for regional assets. Staff provided an overview of the 2015 goals for their respective departments. Mayor Slavik concluded with reviewing the organizational expectations with the Council and staff. Set Future Study Sessions The Council scheduled a study session on February 24 at 5:30 p.m. to discuss park dedication fees.
