SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
JANUARY 31, 1994
A special meeting of the Plymouth City Council was called to order by Mayor Tierney
at 5:30 p.m. at the City Center, 3400 Plymouth Blvd., on January 31, 1994.
PRESENT: Mayor Tierney, Councihnembers Edson and Lymangood.
Councilmember Granath arrived at 5:50 p.m. and Councilmember Anderson arrived at
6:50 p.m. They left the meeting prior to 9:30 p.m. Newly appointed Councilmember
Morrison was also present.
ABSENT: Councilmember Helliwell
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Johnson
CITY MANAGER EVALUATION
Mayor Tierney announced that the meeting was being closed in order to discuss
the City Manager evaluation.
Discussion was held until 6:00 p.m. The Council then recessed the closed
session until 9:30 p.m., or the end of the Board and Commission selection
process.
BOARD AND COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
The City Council interviewed candidates for board and commission vacancies
from 6:00 p.m. until 9:20 p.m. and further considered the selection process
until 10:30 p.m.
CITY MANAGER EVALUATION
At 10:30 p.m., Mayor Tierney announced that the closed session to discuss the
City Manager evaluation would resume. Discussion was held until 11:15 p.m.
Councilmembers agreed that the evaluation process will continue at a future
meeting to be held on February 14, 1994, at approximately 7:30 p.m.,
following a meeting with area legislators.
MOTION was made by Edson, seconded by Tierney, to adjourn the meeting at 11:15
p.m. Motion carried.
