RESOLUTION No. 2014-371
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN EXPENDITURE FROM
THE DWI RESOURCE PLANNING FUND FOR TECHNOLOGY UPGRADE
WHEREAS, the police department is in need of replacing 26 preliminary breath test units; and
WHEREAS, this unit technology upgrade is needed to assist in the officer's recognition of a completed
test, to stay ahead of end of life failure issues, and demonstrate the use of current units in breath-alcohol
related investigations; and
WHEREAS, the city has dedicated funds available in the DWI Resource Planning Fund, reserved for this
type of purchase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BYTHE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the police department be authorized to utilize money from the DEA fund to purchase a new
preliminary breath test units.
