RESOLUTION No. 2014-370
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF
UTILITY VEHICLE FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Fire Department has entered into an agreement with the State of
Minnesota to provide response capabilities in the event of a radiological emergency at the Monticello or
Prairie Island nuclear facilities; and
WHEREAS, this contract requires the department to purchase or lease vehicles; and
WHEREAS, this contract allows for dual use and will enhance our command response
capabilities during normal fire operations; and
WHEREAS, full funding for the vehicle will be paid through the RAD grant and there will be no
impact to the general fund.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the purchase of a 2015 4x4 utility vehicle for the use of the Fire Department is
authorized from the general fund through the State of Minnesota bid from an authorized dealership at a
cost of $40,027.58
